Posted Friday May 18

I realize part of May is already passed, but there are still a couple of weeks left to get in on these free lessons!!  I just found out about this program and wanted to let others know about it - sounds like a great way to get some helpful tips from golf pros, no matter your level of skill!

I don't think 10 minutes would fix my swing.  Let me know when they have 10 hour free lessons!  LOL

But for the real golfers out there, what a cool idea!  I know you have some lovely golf course up there too.

Hi Linda - we do have some absolutely gorgeous golf courses in this area.  A number of years ago, I decided to try my hand at cross-country skiing solely because the courses here are so gorgeous in the winter, too.   In order for me to play, I'm certain I'd need 10-week free lessons, and then who knows if even that could do the trick!!  .-)

Thanks for commenting!

Ann - I'm with Linda - it would certainly take more than 10 minutes for me, but what a wonderful community program!!

Hi Paula - it probably would take more than that for alot of us, but what an opportunity to get some tips from a pro for free!  And IF no one else is booked after you, you just may get a little more than those 10 minutes!  ;-)

Thanks for reading!

10 minutes is 10 minutes - that's pretty cool!  I even found the Miami Shores Golf Course in the link you included.  Thanks Ann!

Hmm.....10 minutes would get me to the tee...then I'd be just watching everyone else....my whole family played golf...(forced as kids) and now it's just 79 yr. old mom...faithfully every Monday.

I love the "concept' of golf ... walking around whacking things into oblivion ... sounds fun! I am not very competitive though, so the actual "game" does not interest me much.

However, this was a very well-put together post and what a great idea!!  :)

Hi Ines - I figured everyone could find some golf course near them in that link!

Sally - I think your 10 minutes starts counting from wherever the start position is, not from the parking lot!!  ;-))      Most of my family plays golf, too, but I just never took to it, at least not yet anyway!

Thanks ladies for your comments!
Ann

What a great idea...I have a few clients who would get a kick out of this and I'll send them th link!

Thanks Ann

Hey Ann, I am a professional golf man :)  just kidding you, what a great idea , I was thinking the same as Joan, :P

Mariana - I'd much rather drive the golf cart myself!  Thanks for the feedback on this post!

Joan - thanks!  Hope those clients enjoy the link and get a chance to get some free lessons!

Ray - great minds think alike, huh?

Thanks for the comments!

Ann.... cool. Thanks for sharing this. I have been golfing since I was 13.....for 27 years and I have never heard of this.  thanks

Hi Jeff - you're welcome!  I had never heard of it until I read about it the other day - it's a cool program for free lessons, and I thought it was great for whatever skill level one's at with their game.

Ann,

Another wonderful helpful local article, very nice.

I have yet to take up the game... Keep telling myself maybe next year but I'm still not there.

( 05/19/07 07:11AM ) — Danny Smith

Ann...do you think in 10 minutes I could walk away wth a 70 or less handicap?

Laurie - thanks!!   ;-)

Danny - I keep telling myself at some point down the road I'll reconsider this game that so many seem to really enjoy.  And I'm fairly certain that 10 minutes of lessons will help you get to that desired handicap!!  ;-)

Thanks for reading!

Hey Ann - I have free golf coupons for the two courses in Sunriver - send all those clients looking to come to Central Oregon and I will share with them :o)

( 05/20/07 08:56PM ) — Sue Argue - NH Home Stager

Ann, great post, I never realized just how many great golf courses we have in this area of NH. And with all of this rain, everything is beautiful and GREEN.

Ann,

I'll trade you the toaster for a plane ticket and my free round of golf! Are you going to Orlando?

( 06/02/07 07:51AM ) — Jay McGillicuddy~Real Estate Broker

Hi Ann, I have played 5 of the 11 courses you listed. There certainly are a lot of great golf courses here in New England. Wish I could play them all.

Free lessons are a great way for people to get started in the game. It can be very rewarding and frustrating at the same time.

Thesa - You bet I will!!

Sue - we have even more than are listed in this post.  These are just those that were taking part in the free lessons.

Neal - hmmmm, I'm thinking that's not quite a fair trade, and I'm thinking about it!

Jay - lucky you having played those courses!  This is just a partial list of the beautiful courses we have - these were the one participating in the free lessons promotion.  They do this every May.
