Milford, NH Lion's Club hosts NOT Just An Ugly Dog Contest

The Milford New Hampsire Lion's Club is holding a dog contest to raise funds to benefit the Lion's community services and charities.

The title "NOT Just An Ugly Dog Contest" is a little bit confusing... The Lion's club believes that all dogs are considered beautiful... The title of the event is trying to convey that it is NOT to be considered one of the contests that have been held in various cities around the country to find the ugliest dog. So get your best friend spruced up and enter the contest!

This will be a fun contest for judging family dogs. There will be a 5 judge panel with 12 categories.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive a trophy. There also will be a People's Choice trophy award selected by audience.

There will be Gift Baskets, Raffles, and a chance to win 2 Gold tickets to see Dog Trainer, Victoria Stilwell, Animal Planet;s "It's Me Or The Dog" at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

When: Sunday, September 5, 2010

Time: Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. ~ Events ends at 3:00 p.m.

Where: Keyes Field Stage and Pavilion Area, Elm Street, Milford

Cost: Event pricing for People - Advance ~ Adult $5 - Children 6-12 $3.00. At the event ~ Adult $8 - Children 6-12 $4; children 5 and under are free.

Dog entry: $5 per category or SIGN UP 1 DOG FOR 3 CATEGORIES FOR $12

A registration form can be picked up at Achille Agway, County Stores, Tractor Supply, Country Kennels, Good Mojo Dog Center, Lucky Dog Grooming or McOsker Kennels.
