
Preparations are on for this year's annual "Light Up Night". Join the Alton, NH Community for an array of festivities. There will be a multitude of free events. Town buildings and business will be open for visitors.
Bring the kids to meet Santa at Alton Town Hall from 5:00 to 6:15 pm. He will be giving out special treats and holiday cheer. Kids can also participate in making crafts while sipping on hot chocolate, and being serenaded by the carols of the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center.
The Alton Historical Society will entertain an Open House located on the first floor of the Gilman Library. Many events will take place such as displays, raffle, door prizes, refreshments and a tour of the Historical Society Museum.
You will be able to view vintage displays, including a Paper Village Display created by Peter Bolster, at the Gilman Museum from 5:00-6:45 pm. There will be music and two live performances by the Lakes Region Opera Company performing as the Dickens Carolers, which is sponsored by the Village Savings Bank.
Join in the caroling and view Alton Village while aboard a Holiday Hayride sponsored by Alton Home and Lumber
Caroling will begin at 6:45 pm. at the Gilman Museum and will be lead by Santa himself. Everyone will then precede to the Ginny Douglas Park for the highlight of the evening- the Christmas Tree Lighting, which will take place at 7 pm.
