Home Staging Business Owners...Identifying our Challenges in 2007

After registering for an entrepreneurial business course, I started writing down the challenges we face as home staging business owners in 2007:

  1. Finding platforms to educate the public about the benefits of home staging.
  2. Becoming an accepted part of every real estate transaction (just as appraisals and home inspections have been added and retained over the years to assist buyers and sellers).
  3. Gaining respect and trust from agents, to foster a team approach to market real estate.
  4. Developing a Home Staging business model that is fairly consistent on a national level (pricing, education, code of ethics to assure privacy...)

By writing down these home staging business challenges, it helped me to focus on my goals.

Next week I am attending the Stonyfield Farm Entrepreneurship Institute for a 2-day workshop, in Manchester, NH. This course is sponsored by The Women's Business Center in Portsmouth, NH. group holding hands

"The School of Community Economic Development at Southern New Hampshire University presents the Stonyfield Farm Entrepreneurship Institute, a boot camp for community minded entrepreneurs, March 29-30, 2007. This intensive 2 day workshop covers marketing challenges, raising capital, management transitions and problem solving sessions. Some of the {NH} state's best known and most successful entrepreneurs are involved, including Gary Hirshberg of Stonyfield Farm and Katie Paine of K.D. Paine and Partners."

I'm grateful to be attending this course with a scholarship from the Women's Business Fund, a division of SBA. Thank you.

I hope that by sharing my outline of Staged First Impressions' business challenges, that other Home Staging business owners will benefit from this exercise.

Staged First Impressions, NH Home Staging company.
