Sunapee Love Your Lake Day and Boat Parade in Sunapee New Hampshire, do you enjoy boating? Then you sure will find this here boat parade mighty enjoyable to attend. Folks sure are going to get to see some mighty fine boats.

Antique Boat







The Lake Sunapee Protective Association holding their Antique and Classic Boat Show and Parade today the 14th of August 2011. First up will be the dockside display, which will be held between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and Noon at the Sunapee Harbor. They have a mighty fine lineup of boats for folks to enjoy looking at.

Sunapee Love Your Lake Day and Boat Parade in Sunapee New Hampshire
, the parade rout will begin with the boats assembling at the Gardner Bay about 12:15 P.M. and then the boat parade is to begin at 12:30 P.M. The boats will head South past Dewey Beach. They say that the boats should enter back into Sunapee Harbor around 12:45 P.M. Then they will travel along Lake Sunapee's shoreline towards Birch Point, then pass Fishers Bay and Oakledge around 1:00 P.M., then on to the State Beach about 1:15 P.M. and then Newbury Harbor at about 1:30 P.M.

Boat






Lake Sunapee is a glacial lake. The glaciers deposited large rocks which were scattered everywhere in the woods, then when the ice melted around 11,000 years ago and Lake Sunapee came to life. Those rocks are called Glacial Erratics, there is an example of a large glacial erratics sitting on Minute Island in front of the John Hay Wildlife Refuge, which is accessible along the Wildlife Shoreline Trail. Below is a photo that I took of the one on the Cape Cod National Seashore.
