If it weren't for the Holiday lights every where, I could see why many people get depressed in December. I took a shot out my window this morning just before 8 am...The sun was coming up and the first rays were on the eastern side of the mountain summits.
The White Mountain of New Hampshire were treated to a fresh blanket of snow...but the wind blew it off all the trees. Just the summits about 4,000 feet (Lafayette and Liberty Mt's) showed the snow. 7:45 am today.
Fast forward 8 hours....4pm today - the sun was all done shining on this valley.
The day was very short and getting short each day until December 21st...when it starts working the other direction getting a bit longer (by a minute or two) each day until June 21st. By the way we have a full moon coming up this Saturday - if it's not too cold I'll go for a walk and enjoy a almost winter -moon.
