Cigar Smokers Since I wanted a decent humidor, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money, I looked at the “Imperfect” section. Again, CheapHumidors did a great job. They explained that “each humidor unit is carefully inspected to ensure the highest quality and then repackaged. You get a great deal, and I get to clean out the warehouse. We are unable to tell you the imperfection in the humidorslisted. Only that they are minor, are guaranteed to work, and come with a lifetime warranty.” Wow….a lifetime warranty

Realtor Lesson #3 – Offer your clients a lifetime warranty

I can anticipate your next question. Leander, I am a Realtor and I don’t sell humidors, so how can I offer a lifetime warranty? First, you need to stop thinking of the people you service as customers and think of them as clients. A lawyer has clients, so do good Realtors. Most people have one lawyer. They may not use them everyday, but when they need them….you hear people say; “I have to call MY Lawyer”. Your clients should think of you as “THEIR Realtor”.

Stop chasing money@!!!

My clients call me if they have real estate questions. My clients call me if their friends have questions. Stop chasing closings and service your clients with a lifetime warranty. Let them know that you will be their Realtor for Life. The money will follow.

Back to the story: I picked out my humidor, paid for it and hit the submit button. I immediately received an email which thanked me for my order and provided a FedEx link which I could use to track the status of my delivery. Later the same day, I received another email telling me that my order had been shipped. It provided the same link for me to track the status of my order. Since I used the less expensive shipping option, It would take a few days for my humidor to make its way to NJ. I was like a little kid tracking my order. It left Tampa, Now it's in Orlando, ooh ooh….now it’s in PA. I almost drove my wife crazy (Love you honey :).

Realtor Lesson #5 – Provide Lots & Lots of Updates Information

Buying or selling a home is a life changing experience. Most clients do not buy a home or sell a home every day. The process is stressful and can drive the average person towards insanity. When a Realtor provides plenty of status updates to the client, the client is more likely to stay calm.

The calm client is a happy client.

A couple of days before my humidor arrived, I received an email from Cheap Humidors that re assured me that if anything was wrong with the humidor when it arrived or it just was not to my liking. I could return it. When the humidor arrived, I was thrilled. It was beautiful. I was much nicer than I expected. I really had to search to find the defect. Several days later, I received an email from the Cheap Humidors with instructions on how to set up my humidor as well as instructions on how to reach customer service if needed.

For me, this was a great experience and I would order from Cheap Humidors again. They are a great company and they provided great service. In addition, I felt that the attitude from the company was very humble. When I need to purchase another humidor or other cigar related accessories, I will check Cheap Humidors first.
