Open Door Charity Contribution from Robert DeFalco Realty

The Robert DeFalco Realty Colts Neck, NJ Office contributed to Open Door this Thanksgiving Season!!We are proud that we collected several boxes of non perishable food items that were brought to the Colts Neck Reformed Church. All donations were gathered into several trucks and minivans then dropped off at Open Door in Freehold, NJ.

Open Door is a non-profit, interfaith emergency food pantry and referral center located in downtown Freehold. Besides collecting and distributing food to the needy, Open Door has an after school tutoring and social program, an advocacy program to assist with problems of eviction, power shut-off, and similar difficulties, refers clients to organizations such as local welfare offices,and has begun serving hot lunches.

Open Door has been providing food and aid to anyone who needs it since 1987. Over a dozen churches and synagogues from the Freehold area provide the core financial support for Open Door.

According to Open Door's website, they played a part in helping 331 families from losing their homes or their heat in 2008.

With over 125 consistant volunteers and a large base of support from people across the Freehold area, Open Door certainly seems to be accomplishing that goal and is sure to be providing support to those in need for years to come.
