Emerson, NJ - The "Family" Town

Welcome to Emerson

The sign reads Welcome To Emerson! The picuresque Suburban Community of Emerson with it's closely knit population has coined the phrase "The Family Town". Just like the neighboring communities of the Pascack Valley, Emerson's center revolves around it's transportation link to NYC with a quaint train station.Emerson Train Station If the train doesn't take you to your destination, Buses are available on the Main routes.

The small town sits sandwiched between two Golf Courses rendering it one of the most picturesque towns in Bergen County. Golfers can find Hackensack Country Club on the Soldier Hill side of town while the Emerson Golf Club borders the picturesque Oradell Resevoir.

good content blog. You need to get the blank spaces filled. I dont know how. Maybe somneone else could tell us. Eric

Thanks Eric,

I agree and I've been really trying and it just isn't working for me.  Maybe if I write more verbage but my goal is to get the blog to look pleasing to the eye as well as having content.

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

Too much text is boring. I have not mastered that yet. if it worked like publisher or my website I could tell you how to add a text box and go from there. Sometimes I have thought about doing a templet that I like and just filling it in with the text and photos I need for that blog. I will try this idea and let you know. I may blog about it in a few minutes to see what others do.  Check out my website for some ideas you will like it

Yeah, I agree about too much text.  I have to force myself to read.  I'm not big on reading but your website looks great.  I'll keep an eye out for your blog on the photo and verbage display on the AR Blogs.

Thanks again,
Lisa

P.S. - If you have grandchildren, maybe you'd like to order one of our c.d.?!  Give a listen to the samples.

Lisa and Bob,

What a lovely town and a great local content article!

Keep up the good work Lisa, it pays off quickly.

Lisa, I noticed your comments with Eric. If you place your cursor at the beginning of your paragraph, and then insert your picture (either left aligned or right aligned) your text will be beside the picture instead of over or under it. Then, if you just hit the enter key a couple of times, the text will move down until you get it centered (vertically) next to the pic.

When I am working with mostly photos and just a little text I will also either increase the size of my font, or put all the photos on one side and the content (centered vertically) on the other.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Mark!

We'll just keep trying. Thanks for your comment!

Lisa,

How about a mention of Emerson Pharmacy??!  The new one is being built right by Dunkin' Donuts!!  A good friend of mine is the pharmacist there.  Just a little extra local content for you...  jo

Hi joanne,

Thanks!  I was fully intending to do just that - just have had a shortage of time.  My Mom is having a bout with arthritis in her knee so I had to go spend some time with her yesterday.  Then there are the customers of course.  But don't worry, I'll get to the building of my local content.

Lisa
