Are Commuting Costs Getting Out of Control??
If you commute to work by driving your car, you may have noticed that the price of gas is going up. The NJ Department of Transportation offers assistance for riders who are interested of carpooling.
Sharing your ride to work - in a carpool, vanpool, bus, train, shuttles or a combination of these - is called ridesharing. Commuting just 15 miles each way can cost as much as $ 1,764 per year. Sharing the ride with just one other person can cut your commuting costs in half.
The state of NJ has a website that provides a wealth of information for commuters and would be car poolers
