Well after all the hype, it finally happened.....Fairfield New Jersey Going Green ~ Saving one tree at a time in the schools and throughout the town!
In January, The Fairfield Home & School Association went paperless directing Fairfield families to their Fairfield HSA website for lunch menus, HSA sponsored program's sign-up forms, and other pertinent HSA related materials. Just by putting the lunch menus online, alone that saved 7000 pieces of paper for the entire school year!
Shortly after the Fairfield HSA announced its intention to go paperless, the Fairfield Recreation Departmentimplemented its going green program. Prior to Fairfield Recreation going totally paperless and to help ease the transition, Fairfield Recreation started uploading the recreation program forms on the Township of Fairfield's website under the Recreation Department link. Just last night I went to the recreation department's link to find the Fairfield baseball 2011 forms and noticed that they posted a link wherein you can register to receive Fairfield Recreation notices via email. The Fairfield Recreation Department runs Fairfield's children recreational programs, Fairfield Town Pool registration, Casino Trips, Fairfield's Senior Citizens programs, and many other Fairfield Township related programs and events.
Please be sure to bookmark the Fairfield HSA website, go to the Fairfield Recreation Department link and sign up for the Fairfield Recreation notices via email and support Fairfield New Jersey Going Green ~ together, saving one tree at a time! Make sure you are also registered for Swift911, Fairfield's Emergency Notification System.
