Everyone loves a Diner once in a while !

... that universal place where you can get breakfast at 8pm, soup with a side of waffles, or simply a cup of coffee and a newspaper !

But here in Lodi, NJ, a renovated diner has taken the experience to another level !

The CHIT CHAT DINER on Essex Street in Lodi, still has the allure of a regular diner menu, but this place has a different feel to it !

Its distinctly retro decor is cool enough, but the real twist to this place, is that on each table is a little box of cards. And on each card, is a phrase or sentence, intended to be used as a conversation starter !!!!

How Simple is that !!

But yet so much fun that you can now go to this diner just to hang out and ... yes ... "Chit Chat" !!!!!

When we were there, some of the cards had questions like

"If you could spend one year in any country, which country would you choose" or "What is your ultimate vacation spot"

... each question thought provoking, and designed get you chit chatting with your friends on some fun topics !

I love this place, and the food was good too - my tuna salad was deeelicious ! ... and to top it off the manager made regular circuits of the diner to ask with a smile "How's everything !"
