Maplewood and South Orange are Green on TV or in Person

As area students prepare to go to school there's one program to watch this weekend to see how local Maplewood kids are learning about the environment around them. The Learning Child Series on PBS will feature students from Seth Boyden School in Maplewood,NJ. The show focuses on highlighting programs that teach kids about nature first-hand. Attend the Environmental Commission's mini Green Day with children's activities when you stop by the South Orange Village's Newcomers - All Comers Day next Sunday, September 13 at The Baird from 2:00pm - 4:30pm rain or shine. This event lets all new residents (and those who still feel new) to meet officials, learn about town activities, register to vote, get a recreation badge and learn and do so much more. This event is being conducted by the township's trustees and community relations committee.

Don't forget West Orange is also having its New Resident event on the 13th.
