A peaceful place to take a break - easy walk around this beautiful slice of paradise.

This beautiful lake just off Route 23 in Pompton Plains is a real hidden treasure to enjoy. Exit route 23 at Alexander Ave, turn right into lake parking lot. Park your car, get out and begin your approximately 1 mile walk around the lake. The path is lined with leaves and mulch making it easy on your feet. Listen to the birds, watch the ducks and geese, watch locals fishing, stop at a bench and just breathe in nature for a while. Great escape. I sometimes bring my lunch and find a quiet bench around the lake to enjoy the break.
