There are eight towns that make up the Pascack Valley area of Bergen County New Jersey.  Currently there are 45 Single Family homes priced from $1,000,000 up to $2,399,000.  Those Actively Listed Homes are as follows, by town:

Growing up in the town of River Vale, my parents paid less than $24,000 for their home some 40+ years ago.  Out of the properties listed here, there are four homes in the immediate neighborhood of my childhood home. 

Bob's childhood home in Hillsdale was built by his father and dare I guess, they probably paid less than $20,000 to buy the land and build the house.   There are currently three homes standing on that property that has been subdivided through the years.
