One of the questions that continues to be asked, no matter what the state of the market may be, "Is this a good time to buy"? Our answer is always the same - "you bet and here's why"!Home Buying Process

  • If you're renting, it's obvious that you aren't building any equity so why rent?
  • Interest rates are lower than they have been in history (even if they are slightly higher than they were a year or two ago).
  • The interest you pay on your mortgage is tax-deductible.
  • Moving up? - if you've been in your home for 3-5 years or more, you will probably make a very nice profit for having stayed in your home.
  • Staging your current home to sell isn't as expensive as you may think.
  • Mortgage Lenders are offering more programs than ever to make home ownership possible.

The list can go on but we think you get the idea. The Real Estate market is currently a Buyer's market but that term shouldn't scare you if you're a Seller. If you've been in your home for 3-5 years or more, you will probably make a good enough profit to send you off to your new residence comfortably. So sure, we believe it is a "Great Time To Buy Real Estate".

Right now in South Florida is a great time to buy and buyers are still reluctant.


This housing slump brought prices back to 2004 levels!  Couple that with great rates and it is a great time.  Sure, there could be a drop in some areas - but on a $500K home, 2% is 10K - so you're willing to WAIT for the house to drop and possibly risk a 1/2-3/4 point hike in rates in the meantime? 


No time like the present...


Lisa and Robert - now is a great time to start talking to your client that want to be snowbirds!  Lots of great AR Realtors down here and a great Mortgage Broker (or two)...ME!
