Somerville Restaurant Week

Somerville's restaurant week is set to take place from Saturday to May 21 with many spots offering a three-course prix-fixe menu from 5 to 7 p.m. during the week.

Participating restaurants include Gabriella's Authentic Portuguese Cuisine, 42 W. Main St.; Il Pomodoro, 41 N. Bridge St. (for both lunch and dinner); Mannion's Pub & Restaurant, 150 W. Main St.; The Melting Pot, 190 W. Main St.; Scampi's Seafood Restaurant, 198 W. Main St.; Valdebenito's Bistro, 18 W. Main St.; Veda Grill Indian Spice, 30 E. Main St.; Verve Restaurant, 18 E. Main St., and Wasabi Asian Plates & Sushi Bar, 12 W. Main St.

The prix-fixe prices exclude beverages, tax and gratuities.

There's free on-street and municipal lot parking after 5 p.m. in Somerville.

Restaurant week will be jumpstarted by the Somerville Sampler Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday rain or shine. The day includes restaurant tastings, outdoor sales and entertainment on Main Street.

The week also will coincide with the borough's Arts on Division event, which features live performances and showings from several area individuals and arts groups, including the Printmaking Center of New Jersey, the New Jersey Artists Guild, the Raritan Valley Art Association, the Somerville Middle School Jazz Ensemble, Somerville High School Art, Immaculate High School Art, the Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey and Kids on Tap.
