Carole Provenzale's beautifully illustrated post Fun at The Fair: Bellmore, Long Island, New York/A Feng Shui Consultants' Play Time! reminded me of my own New Mexico State Fair 2007 experience that I described elsewhere and made me aware that she and I have something in common. I too, like this time of year with its fairs and fiestas and try to visit as many as possible.
Our New Mexico State Fair ended two weeks ago. As always, it was delightful. It presented lots of photo opportunities, but in writing about it, I chose to focus on my friend's quilting achievement. I was very pleased to have a friend who was a winner.
Speaking of a season for fairs and festivals, the State Fair has hardly closed its gates before the Balloon Fiesta's startin two days on October 6.
I shall, of course, be on hand to volunteer at Balloon Fiesta, enjoy the show, and capture the most spectacular events of the 2007 season. In anticipation, I already took my first balloon ride. Hitch a Ride on a Hot Air Balloon. It was sheer delight.
Looking back, earlier this month we had two wine festivals. I attended one - the longest established - but that is material for another post.
