Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market

Las Cruces Farmers Market

Earlier this summer, the American Farmland Trust held a contest to name the best Farmer's Markets in Small, Medium and Large markets and the Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market was named #1 in the Large Market Catagory! What a tremendous feat for them!

They've been around for 40 years this year and it's always a fun trip to downtown Las Cruces to check out the wares, crafts, music and artisans.

More than likely, this is where Las Cruceans get their first whiff of green chile roasting - which is a true sign that fall is in the air. And that everything is right with the world

The most heavenly smell in the world.
Proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

When you stroll the Farmer's Market, you're also going to find some four legged, furry friends looking for their forever homes. Animal Services of the Mesilla Valley is there every Wednesday and Saturday with adoptable pups. If you're looking for a new family member, head down there. The last time I was there, I almost came away with a new furry friend! Sometimes they are very hard to resist!

Downtown Las Cruces is under going a renaissance of sorts with the opening up of Main Street, new building store fronts, landscaping and more. Because of that, the market has had to move down the street a little bit but don't worry - there is always PLENTY of parking available on both days.

Wear your comfortable shoes and hat since the sun is still pretty hot in September. You'll have plenty of food and drinks to choose from while you browse and buy from our neighbors and friends!
