Kiwanis Park & Beach at Morris lake, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Volunteers from Kiwanis Club in Dartmouth built a beautiful park and beach by Morris lake in Cole Harbour.

Beach is nice and sandy and great for little kids. There is also a nice long floating dock for older children and adults. It was a great place for us to go swimming this summer, as it is located within 2 minutes drive from our house. Many people from our community of Colby Village, also Woodlawn, Forrest Hills, Eastern Passage, Portland Estates and Shearwater come to enjoy the place.

The park is nice too, with many paths and beautiful wildlife, many unique flowers and other plants grow there. I almost wish that they stoped expanding the paths and parking because so many plants get destroyed.

Anyway, the place is great and we really enjoyed swimming, fishing and canoeing there.
