A nice get away not far from Halifax

We needed a break from the city and searched for a nice little cottage in the middle of the woods to rent and just get out of the city for the weekend and we found a great cottage. It's a little over an hour from Cole Harbour and it's about 3 km's in the woods on a logging road. Mind you the road was not the greatest but it was well worth the 3 km drive in!! Just watch out for some of the pot holes.

At night I stood out on the front deck and I couldn't hear a sound. Itwas something I haven't experienced in many many years. Dead quiet. It was also the best sleep we have ever had. No street lights, no noise, no traffic, no horns. It was a touch of heaven.

If you ever need to get away but don't like roughing it, I would recommend this cottage any day. It sleeps 10 btw. It was a little pricy for just the two of us but if you split it with another couple, it would be very affordable and a great time to kick back.
