Las Vegas Real Estate Agent Market Report - INVENTORY DROPS -November 21, 2011-

There are approx 10,770 homes for sale in the Las Vegas area per the local MLS.

This is for homes without contracts on them.

Our pendings and homes with contracts on them are at .... 11,179

Homes inventory has dropped below 11,000 in the last few weeks.

This is most likely the result of the new law AB 284 that is "temporarily" affecting our inventory by making lenders have all their "ducks" in row before filing anymore Notices of Default, etc and it is most likely creating a paperwork backlog with all the lenders therefore delaying the process of getting homes in foreclosure to "on the market" homes.

Keep in mind, (IMO) this is temporary and we will eventually see the homes come on the market.

This would be the best time for the lenders to start "Approving" Short Sales at a much faster rate, lets hope that happens.
