NV, Las Vegas: Everlyse Cabrera

Oneverlyse June 10, 2006 two-year-old Everlyse Cabrera disappeared from the home of her foster parents in North Las Vegas. Although the case drew nationwide coverage by the news media and was aired on America's Most Wanted nary a sign of her had been found until today, April 30, 2008. At the top of the 6pm news tonight it was announced that Everlyse may have been found in Green Bay WI during a drug bust.

Her foster parents did not cooperate with police saying that all they knew is the child climbed on a stool, unlocked a deadbolt and left the house. The foster parents were under heavy police scrutiny for months after her disappearance. The foster parents were sued by the biological parents but as licensed foster parents in Clark County they were financially protected.

All of Las Veges is praying tonight that this finding in Green Bay will put this case to an end...what a hard, short life this little 4 year old has had...to be taken from her biological parents and put with foster parents...then to disappear from foster care and be gone for two years, and then to be possibly found during a drug raid. DNA tests are being done and police in WI are saying that there are 'striking similarities' between the little girl and Everlyse.

My prayers are with you Everlyse Cabrera where ever you are.

Mary,

I'm praying in Douglassville, also!!! Thanks,   Fran

Mary, keep us posted as to the rest of this story.  I had not heard about Everlyse's disappearance.  I hope this story has a happy ending.

the anticipation must be driving people crazy - makes you wish you could get dna results much faster - keep us posted

Mary, what a sad story.  I must live in a bubble, because I have not heard anything about this, well, if I did, I don't recall it!  We will keep Everlyse and her family in our prayers.

If it is her, you have to wonder how the girl was taken and how she ended up so far away.
