Charles, Long time no see you here on my blog. I am very glad you enjoy my video... Indeed there is nothing better on a hot summer night than to be here relax and listen to the beautiful music and incredible show of water and lights. You should come.
I love those fountains! I once stood there for 45 minutes waiting for them to go off while talking to a friend. Suddenly after much chatting, we found out they were not on that night! Bummer!
With several professionally choreographed musical routines and rushing water that soars as high as 460 feet from a total of 1,214 water-emitting devices, the $40-million, 8.5-acre lake is the most ambitious water feature ever created by WET Design. The free show has been celebrated in countless films, television shows, photographs and articles on Las Vegas.
Through an agreement with the Clark County Fire Department, the water can be used at the department's discretion to fight a nearby fire or for another catastrophic event.
The computerized program that runs the fountain show automatically cancels or scales it down based on weather conditions.
Hours of operation: Monday - Friday, 3 p.m. - midnight. Saturday and Sunday, noon - midnight. The fountains run every half-hour until 8 p.m. and every 15 minutes after that until midnight. Fountains are occasionally closed during high winds.
