Welcome to the Las Vegas blog

My New Year's resolution was to begin a new endeavor, something I have never done before - to start a blog about the city of my heart, Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is the renown jewel in the Mohave Desert known as a gambling mecca and the entertainment capitol of the world.

  • Las Vegas is the fifth most popular tourist destinations in the world.
  • Las Vegas is one of the most popular summer destinations in the nation.
  • Las Vegas is home to nine of the largest hotels in the world. Las Vegas is known for its four star accommodations, fine cuisine, dazzling entertainment, and shopping.
  • Las Vegas is visited by over 2.4 million tourists each year.

Las Vegas is all this and so much more.

Las Vegas is a bustling city, the largest in the state of Nevada. Las Vegas is made up of many communities and is home to over 1.41 million people.

The various neighborhoods which make up the Las Vegas Valley include: Anthem, the City of Las Vegas, Canyon Gate, Desert Shores, Green Valley, Lake Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Northwest Las Vegas, Peccole Ranch, Queensridge, Seven Hills, Southern Highlands, Southwest Las Vegas, Spanish Trails, Spring Valley, Summerlin and The Lakes.

The diverse real estate of the Las Vegas Valley consists of master planned communities, golf communities, estate neighborhoods, adult oriented (50+) communities, equestrian properties, condominiums, townhouses and the newest addition to Las Vegas real estate is the luxury highrise residence.

Most homes in the Las Vegas area are occupied by members of the Las Vegas community, but there is a large segment of second-home owners as well.

In future blogs I will bring to you information on the various communities and neighborhoods of Las Vegas and special local events

. I will also feature blogs on information valuable to homeowners, home sellers, and home buyers. My blogs will also include real estate news in the Las Vegas community and on a national level.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you will return to learn more about the "other" LasVegas, the Las Vegas of people and communities.
