The Las Vegas Metro Police Department will be hosting a free workshop advising Las Vegas residents on identity theft, consumer protection and internet safety tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at each of its area local command centers. In addition, Las Vegas Metro and Opportunity Village will provide free document shredding services from 4 p.m. – 8p.m. at each of the local command centers. The workshop is a part of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department’s “First Tuesday” program. Each Las Vegas Metro substation is open to meet with the public for one hour beginning at 7 p.m on the first Tuesday of every month. The First Tuesday program is an open forum meeting. In addition to various workshops, the program highlights various areas of the department’s operations and policies. The program also educates the public about how they can become involved in their community. For more information regarding the workshop, substation locations and regarding document destruction, please contact Anne Sagel at 828-0148.
