Looking for a great place to eat? Deciding which restaurant to go to dinner in Mesquite? Can't decide between Chinese or Japanese food for dinner? Hunan Chicken or Beef Teriyaki? Egg Roll or California Roll?
Well, the argument is over - let's go to the Panda Garden! That's right - they now have both Chinese and Japanese food - it's like 2 restaurants in one! It is at 10 E Mesquite Blvd - 702 346-3028

The building is simply beautiful - the front is surrounded by a rock garden which looks just like a river bed trickling down from the rock waterfall. It really looks like an oasis in the desert with the palm trees in the background, but I never stand there long enough to enjoy it - just can't wait to get in and stuff myself.

The Panda Garden has a full cocktail and wine bar. If you get caught in the dinner rush you can order your favorite drink, glass of wine or Saki - by the time you have finished it, you will be seated - the service is terrific. And Sushi lovers.....the Panda now has a Sushi Bar!
The banquet room has a lovely atmosphere and is large enough to accomodate a large private party or well, a banquet! You can order for the whole group or each can order separately from the menu.

They serve a green salad with an amazing ginger spiced dressing which just makes me even hungrier. The combination Egg Fu-Yung is the best I have ever had - heaped with vegetables and shrimp, chicken and beef. If it is lunch time, try my favorite - the Seafood and Vegetable Tempura, which also comes with California rolls and pot stickers.
The servings are large - I always have to (get to) take some home for later - which makes me very happy!

What a write up and review! This service to your community seems to have been a satisfying one.
Great pictures and local info Virginia. The town I grew up in had a restaurant called the Panda Garden...probably not the same owners :-) I always loved that restaurant...keep up the great posts about Mesquite.
Virginia, looks like an awesome place, I love Sushi, and the decor is great.
Large portions is always a good recommendation for a restaurant. I like to get a doggy plate when we go out, so I don't look like the Panda statue.
Great write up and presentation. It would take me there.

Mark - It was very satisfying - I am a pretty good eater.
Kristi - No, I think it is a family that owns it - my favorite restaurant in Mesquite.
Duane - Fly in for lunch!
Richard -But that Buddha guy looks so happy!
Virginia, fueling up the private jet as I type. Cya in a few hours.
Don't I wish... Have a great weekend, Duane
Duane - I wish you would - but wait till I get back from visiting my kids in Mississippi - I'll get you a comped room at one of our friendly casinos!
Virginia, A great post for your local restaurant.. You are making me hungry - if I ever get out that way again... I will say hello.. God bless,
Virgina: Excellent Restaurant Review. Providing information for the incoming visitors/residents and doing your local business some free advertising. I am about to do the same. I found a really good locally owned restaurant that only serves lunch. I want to do a review on it. Any suggestions or advice? I was thinking about talking with the owner first, so I can do some history of the establishment. Afterwards printing out a copy and forwarding it on to her! What do you think?
Great idea, Michelle - talking with the owner is a great idea - I went in to do that, the owner was out of town for 2 weeks and the manager didn't know much - if you know their email you can send them the link - they can see how it looks on the internet.
Virginia: I spoke with the owner the other day. I explained what I was doing and she was shocked to hear that I would be willing to do this. She gave me some background information on her business and her motivations. I told her that I was going to write something up and would like to bring it by for her to read before I post it to the web, as well as take some interior pictures. She has agreed and we will be meeting for lunch this week. Thank you for helping with the idea. Keep up the great work on the Mesquite NV area, I enjoy reading about your city.
Michelle - I missed this comment! Wow, you have made a friend in the business community.
