Sun City Mesquite NV - Ax Murderers (not really) buy a new home in Pulte Del Webb Active Adult Community

I was at my office (Mesquite GMAC Real Estate) and got a phone call from a very nice man, asking for directions. We chatted for awhile - he was from out of state and had his RV parked at the Oasis Casino RV Park. He said his wife was taking an afternoon nap and he was walking around Mesquite for some exercise. I don't really approve of voluntary exercise, but I didn't feel that I knew him well enough to counsel him about it.

He was fun to talk to, had visited Mesquite NV several times before and loved it. So I offered to pick him and his alleged wife, Judy up at the RV Park and give them a tour of Mesquite.

As I was on my way to the RV Park to pick up Rich and Judy, Annie, one of my 3 daughters called me. I told her I would call her back in a while - that I was about to pick up a guy named Rich and show him around Mesquite.

My husband's name is also Rich - Annie thought I was talking about him and kidding around.

Later, she called my husband's cell - he said he didn't know where I was. (He didn't notice that his cell phone was beeping - I had left him a message telling him where I was)

So Annie called my other daughter, Amy, who called my other daughter, Aly, who called my mother-in-law, Maryanne.

Annie decided that I had been kidnapped by ax murderers or something and called the police in Mesquite and asked them to look for my car along side the road.

In the meantime, we had decided to go tour the new Pulte Del Webb Sun City Mesquite Active Adult Community - and for some reason, I left my cell phone in the car, which is very unusual - I always take it with me.

We spent a couple of hours at Sun City Mesquite. Lila Williams, the Sales Representative and I spent a good amount of time showing Rich and Judy and their Killer dog around the Sun City Mesquite models and Rec Center.

While we were looking at the new homes, everybody I know was calling me. When we got back to the car and I saw all of those missed calls, I started answering the phone and assuring them that I was fine. This was the first I knew of that anyone was worried about me!

Finally, I explained, as nicely as I could, to Rich and Judy that I might have to make a couple of calls because my whole family thinks that they are ax murderers.

So the moral of this story is 'keep yourself safe'. We now have a code that I use with my family to let them know that yes, I will be missing in action, but I am safe. And I leave a message about who I am with and when I will be home - with someone besides my husband, who never even looks at his phone!

And if you ever see these scary looking people and their Killer Dog, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE !

The good news here is that Rich and Judy are buying a new second home at Pulte Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite, we have become friends, and I get to come over and swim in the pool!

Maybe I can talk them into giving me a spare key (you know, for emergencies when they are not in town) - then I can impersonate them and use that wonderful Sun City Mesquite Recreation Center, too!

Judy and Rich and Killer live out of state and I have been monitoring the progress of their new Sun City home for them. So far, so good!

Rich, Judy, and Killer's second home will be done in July, so don't call me in August - sorry, I don't take calls at the pool.
