Virginia,
Whoever thought that we'd be using FHA mortgages to finance houses like this?
Mike in Tucson
Hi, Virginia - Nice looking house you've got there. The price isn't bad either! What did this sell for new?
Hi Virginia - Looks like a great home. I really like the staircase! Best of luck with getting it sold.
Virginia, that is a huge house at a steal of a price as an REO. And unlike many REOs I have dealt with, yours looks in great condition. The kitchen is spacious. Love the roof too which goes with your locale. Good luck with the sale!
Andrew - The market went loco and left some victims of...............
Mike - Fha loans, definitely not just for first time buyers anymore, mention of an FHA loan with a home like this would have been a typo a while ago! :)
Jesse - It is in an excellent neighborhood - some homes there sell for 6-700K. I believe it sold for close to 6 in 2002, before the market jumped up the prices.
Bill - Thanks, the staircase is beautiful - 4 levels open off it. I just noticed that I forgot to put the chandelier picture in - edit!!
Gary - The bank is losing a huge chunk on this one. The owners took very good care of it, needs some carpet and paint, everything else inside is fine.
Virginia, from $600K to $385K in six years.... Wow, my how some properties are being unloaded by the banks. I hate how it messes up the comparables in the neighborhood between normal and distressed properties. As long as distressed properties are an anomaly, they can probably be dropped, but if there are too many of them they have to be factored in. I forgot to mention I too think that staircase is gorgeous. Someone is going to get a good deal. Good luck to you with putting a deal together.
Virginia, wow, great pirce and nice home. Love the sky entry!
Duane - That staircase is awesome, isn't it? It opens to 4 different levels of living areas. Would be great for a mother-in-law situation or a big family.
