Let's try to make it a positive week Las Vegas.

Monday is upon us and one can only imagine what kind of news will hit the street this week in regards to the Las Vegas real estate market, gaming, tourism, etc.

From the Strip to suburbia - from single family homes to luxury high-rise condominiums, we all know that things are challenged. To make matters more complicated, the pounding by the media is still in full gear.

Just as everyone on earth needs to become more aware of (and do something about) pollution, recycling, energy, etc. - we also need to do something about the Las Vegas real estate market.

So what can you do to help?

Everyone simply needs to do their part. Most importantly, stay patient and keep your sanity. Secondly, rather than become angry, become determined.

Could you provide to a newspaper a positive stat? Can you show a friend how many low-priced, bank-owned properties are on the market? Whatever it is, just do SOMETHING. Currently, my main thing is writing to inspire everyone to think positive and to stay motivated.

And my advice for the week?

CEOs don't want you to tell them about a problem...

They want you to provide to them a solution.

You should never walk into a high-level board meeting and say "Mr. CEO, our company website sucks." Instead, you should say "Mr. CEO, I found several ways to improve our company website by doing this, this, and this."

As someone who cares about the Las Vegas real estate market...

What can you do this week that will add value to the eventual solution?

Feel free to think it over and then put it into action.
