For 4 days we have been ready to close on a bank owned for our buyer and we still can't get it closed !! This is a bank owned home that has a little over $2,000 in past due property taxes. Escrow says the servicer said the check was sent, the asset manager won't approve the payment on the hud because the servicer has already sent it, Can you say CRAZY !! Now we are out of contract, seller closing credit at risk, just in limbo land and we still can't close it. As agents we try to think of every creative way to get something closed and for this deal, no such luck. I called the county and said if I pay it and then the check shows up in a few days from the servicer can I get reimbursed anyway? The answer, NO ! We tried about 17 other things today with all NO'S. So we stay awake all night tonight and stress, then tomorrow we will get up again and start the fight all over ! Real Estate in 2010, Gotta love it !!
