The new total number of active listings as of today is 21,476!! It just keeps climbing! It seems as if the market is starting to pick up as people I've been talking to have started to see some property here in the Las Vegas area go under contract! I just check that as well and there are 3,480 in contract. As you can see we have at least 6 months of inventory. Keep your fingers crossed maybe next week we will see the numbers go the other direction!

Hi Tim, I wrote a "workup" on the numbers, similar to what you posted but with more detail. I then sent it to the local papers via email. Their email addresses are usually next to their name in the stories they publish. One reporter was writing a story on the market. I got front page coverage as the "expert".
That's an insane number. Last year at this time I think there were around 14,000. That's one deal for every agent in LV! Yeah right, if it were only that simple.
