The 2010 Reno Film Festival is currently underway this week throughout Reno. The Reno Film Festival was founded to showcase local writers, directors and other filmakers. Because of the state of the economy today, ticket prices have been lowered to $5 per adult, free for students and only $10 for the filmakers panel on Sunday morning. Some of the movies will be shown for free to everyone. The schedule for the rest of the film festival is as follows:
June 14
Indies Animation/Comedy Shorts - TMCC (700 Dandini Blvd) Sierra Building #108, 7pm. Admission is $5 for the general public and free to students.
June 15
Indies Nevada/Sci-Fi Shorts - Studio on 4th (432 E 4th St), 7pm. Admission is $5 for the general public and free to students.
June 16
Lumiere Academy Awards - Nevada Museum of Art (160 W Liberty St), 7pm. Admission is free for everyone.
"White Stripes" Feature Film - St. James Infirmary (445 California Ave), 9pm. Admission is free for everyone. Participants must be 21 or older to attend.
June 17
Indies Documentary - KNPB Channel 5 Studios (1670 N Virginia St), 7pm. Admission is $5 for the general public and free to students.
"Prince of Egypt" Animated Feature - Wingfield Park (W 1st St at Arlington Ave), 8:30pm. Admission is free for everyone. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at Wingfield Park.
June 18
VIP Reception, Tributs and Bing Crosby "Rarities" - Siena Hotel Ballroom (1 S Lake St), 7pm. Admission is $35 for everyone.
June 19
Indies Foreign/Drama Shorts - National Automobile Museum (10 Lake St), 2pm. Admission is $5 for the general public and free for students.
Indies Short Film Competition Awards followed by the feature "Loneliest Road in America" - National Automobile Museum (10 Lake St), 7pm. Admission is $10 for everyone.
June 20
Filmakers Panel - Siena Hotel, Oca Room (1 S Lake St), 10am. Admission is $10 for everyone.
"Dear Frankie" Family Feature Film - Grace Church (1220 Robb Dr), 2:30pm. Admission is free for everyone.
Project Moonshine Shorts - Studio on 4th (432 E 4th St), 4pm. Admission is $5 for everyone.
