Sierra Kids Before and After School Program in Reno

Sierra Kids Before and After School Program in RenoWith kids heading back to school soon (August 30, 2010), this is a friendly reminder about the Reno Parks and Recs Department's Sierra Kids before and after school program in Reno.  The deadline to apply for the first week of this program is this Thursday, August 26, 2010.  So, if you're interested in having your child participate in the Sierra Kids program, you better contact the Reno Parks and Recreation Department soon.

The Sierra Kids program is provided for children in grades K-6 as a safe place to spend time before and/or after school.  In the afternoon, children will get help with their homework and are provided a healthy snack.  There are plenty of activities to keep your child busy as well.  The following Reno schools offer the Sierra Kids before and after school programs:

The fees for the programs are broken down into weekly and daily prices (for those parents that only want their kids in Sierra Kids for a few days a week):

    Weekly Fees
    $30 - Morning program
    $45 - Afternoon program
    $75 - Both morning and afternoon programs
    Partial Week Fees
    $10/day - Morning program
    $15/day - Afternoon program
    $20 - Early release day

Registration is done weekly.  In order for your child to participate in the next week's program, they must be registered and paid in full by the previous Thursday.  If your child is not registered and the days paid in full by that Thursday, they will be referred back to the school's office.  To find out more about the Sierra Kids before and after school program in Reno, contact 775-334-2262.  This is a great, safe program provided by the Reno Parks and Recreation Department.
