Who are the High Desert Hooters and What is the Breast Cancer 3-Day?

Eight women from Northern Nevada make up team "High Desert Hooters". Rhonda Clark, Brandi Anderson, Michele Bushnell, Chrissy Haugland, Carla Morris, Kari Sanderfer, Tanya Lenon and Virginia Soderquist will participate in this years Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in San Francisco, California, September 5 -7, 2008.

These women are dedicated to helping eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. They formed this group (High Desert Hooters), to help fight this disease by raising money and awareness to help find a cure for breast cancer. For some of these women, this will the the fourth annual walk and they say they will continue this grueling yet life changing event each year until a cure if found.

What is The Breast Cancer 3-Day?

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a walk that raises money for Breast Cancer Research. Each individual who participates must raise $2,200 and will complete a 60 mile walk over the course of three days. Walkers camp each night with an average of 4 to 6 thousand other walkers. The High Desert Hooters say it is truly an amazing experience.

The Beast Cancer 3-Day benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, to fund breast cancer research and community outreach, as well as the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.
