The lovely A. Jin in the main conference room at REMAX People Realty
A. Jin contacted me the day she and her lovely family planned to drive to New York City from Canada. After relocating to New York State and settling in Brooklyn on Friday, she made arrangements to meet with me the next day. I picked her up Saturday and we, accompanied by one of her cousins, spent that afternoon and most of the evening together having mad fun chatting about our families and getting to know each other. She discovered the Active Rain Real Estate Network from using search engines. Googling her targeted area lead to my blog. She looked at other New York agents before deciding to select me as her Realtor.
BTW, I am ranked number 19 on the New York Sate home page and number 3 for Queens County. TannStarr.com links back to my three Active Rain blogs and I am very happy people enjoy my blog posts enough to trust me with their housing needs.
It's official. We signed a Buyer's Brokerage agreement today and I must say I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my new friend. BTW, she has a wicked sense of humor and is fluent in French! I got to enjoy some very interesting Ear Candy today (LOL).
I even got to play phone tag with Susan Mangigian and Melody Botting between real estate assignments. A. Jin got to chat with Susan while we were in my REMAX office and guess what? We are going on an AR Road Trip together in a couple of weeks to hang out in PA with the lovely Mangigian family. Susan, AJ and I are going to collect some PA Eye Candy together. How cool is that?
The only question left to settle is do we travel with or without the little minions. Hmm... I could use some girl time... Maybe I'll keep you in suspense until I post the pictures (LOL).
Thank you, Active Rain. I would not have made a new friend and gained a wonderful new client for my firm if it were not for your Real Estate Network. You guys (and Claire) ROCK!

Carolyn - You are a power networker! I got that term from my title rep, who said the same of me. Keep up the good work, my friend.
Carolyn, how cool is that? Congratulations!!! Yes, AR does ROCK!!!
Morning C,
Rain it a great resource and will continue to grow and provide for us. Congratulations on yet another friend added to your list of many. Enjoy and be safe on your road trip.
Carolyn, You are awesome. Sounds like you found a gem of a client here and have made a new friend in the process. Good luck with the minion decision.

Michael, very cool! AR ROCKS! I'm having mad fun hanging on-line with my friends. The networking is lovely as well. :-)
Thank you Hal. I'm looking forward to showing AJ around NYC, upstate and a few other interesting places. Who knew I'd be taking clients on AR road trips - I certainly didn't (LOL). She was very happy to be a part of my blog so we going to be sharing a few of our activities together with you all as we run about getting comfy. I love having fun at work! :-)
Thank you, Shirley. I may leave them with their Dad so they can have a little guy time while I enjoy my girl time. :-)
Big Mike, how Austin Powers of you (ROTFL). ;-0
Ctann, enjoy some girl time and have dad enjoy the minions. IMO. Isn't the networking here, wonderful? Have fun and enjoy your day.
Thank you, Missy. I am really leaning towards taking your advise. The little minions can mini-vacation at Aunt Susan's another time. :-)
Very cool to honor your client with this blog. Congratulations, I am sure there will be many more like her!
Very great Carolyn. Let me know when you travel out and maybe I can take some time to meet you out there. Have a great Sunday.
Good for you Carolyn!!!
Spectacular job! I am way impressed girlie! KM

Thank you, Kristin. Blogging and SEO strikes again. Yay! :-)
Carolyn, wonderful job and news. I know you will take exceptional care of her and her family.
Fred, I am looking forward to it. :-)
Awesome news - I'm waiting for ANY prospect contact from AR. But honestly if I never do, I learn a great deal here and am happy even if there was no possability of potential prospecting. Prospects just "sweeten the deal"
That's such a cool story - especially the part about all going on a road trip together. I'm always amazed at the power of AR to connect people. Have a great time!
Carolyn, you are working it. Glad you connected with A. Jin.
Hey girl, I am looking forward to meeting your client and seeing your lovely face in a few weeks. xxoo

Carolyn - that is terrific news, and you were able to get your client to be a part of your post. Please follow up with the house hunting and closing.
What a great story! A new client and a friend too? That is the best case scenario!
Steve, the beautiful thing is just being here makes it possible.
Georgina, that is definitely one of my favorite parts of being connected to people in AR. The relationships are awesome.
Thank you, Gary. I'm happy we met.
Susan I am looking forward to spending time with you and AJ. I really do hope that Paddy can make it as well. That would just be the icing on the cake for me. We will have some serious fun. :-)

Little sister, that is wonderful news and we are all hoping at Active Rain it works out well for you in the end. You deserve all you can get for all the hard work you do.
OH how fun and I'm soo jealous - I want a New York Buyer - fairs fair - and although those driving holidays.....my word girl.......'have A/R Blog will travel'.....should be a bumper sticker for your car!
Didn't get any painting done...:-0 didn't even get my crayons out :-(.......spent the bulk of the day - getting rid of nasty critters in my computer......and no I did not feel like Helen of Troy!
You two ladies have fun! I hope she'll give you permission to write about your home hunting escapades as you go along.
Congratulations to you both on finding each other :-)
Thank you, Robert. I appreciate your kind words.
Liz, too funny! Have A/R Blog Will Travel... I think you just created a very cool tee shirt. Sorry about not being about to get any painting done, but you will. Take your time and schedule it in when you can. I did some sketching and will be starting a few paintings this week. Will keep you posted in your blog.
Kris thank you. She's very kind and doesn't mind my blogging about her at all. Finding AJ a home may turn into a little mini-series (LOL).
Wonderful-----I also had an email from someone in Toronto over the weekend who is looking for a villa. I love to hear success stories.
Thank you, Diane. Wishing you the very best with your Toronto prospect. How exciting! :-)
Dear Carolyn: Of course she would pick you to work with, who wouldn't...your the best!!!!!
This is very impressive in deed! She looks very pleasant and I am sure she is fun to 'hang out' with. I bet it doesn't feel like work.
Thank you, Kelly. I appreciate your kind words.
Mel, it doesn't feel like work at all. It feels really good to have fun while servicing my client's needs.
