Cheektowaga Catholic school may get new life

Savarino Construction Co. and Southeast Works have announced plans for a $6.5 million project to convert the former Our Lady of Czestochowa School on Clinton Street in Cheektowaga into apartments for people with developmental disabilities.

There will be 24 units and construction should be completed late 2009 early 2010. This is exciting to see as we see the Catholic Church trying to make use of many of the buildings that they no longer need in Western New York. It is a great adaptation and a positive move forward for the Cheektowaga neighborhood. This will create an anchor and ensure that the community will continue to grow.
