A Feng Shui Bedroom in Flushing Queens New York

As a Feng Shui Consultant in New York, I encourage people to read about Feng Shui and try to apply some of the principles to their own Homes and Businesses.

There is, however, so MUCH information out there and so many schools of thought on Feng Shui, it can become confusing. VERY confusing. That's a good time to call a qualified Feng Shui Consultant in.

My client in Flushing Queens NY called me after she had made attempts to Feng Shui her own home. For many areas, she had done a wonderful job! Although we made changes to change the placement of some items for balance and to address the Five Elements, I'd found that she really had achieved a good understanding for Feng Shui Principles.

Until we reached the Bedroom she had applied Feng Shui to. One of her Feng Shui Books suggested placing the bed at an angle with a "commanding" position of the door. While it's true we don't like an "unprotected back" in Feng Shui, this is what I saw:

In good Feng Shui for the Bedroom, it is essential that this room be in balance. If at all possible we like to see a strong, supportive headboard or picture behind you, equal sized tables and lamps on both sides and, hopefully, nothing under the bed. This allows for a true Partnership to enter or become stronger. Home Stagers know this priciple because it is also good design.

For many in Feng Shui, the Bedroom is considered the most important room in the house. It is where we rest and restore and create and strengthen relationships. Look for balance in this room, try to keep electro-magnetic energies down to a minimum and keep it clutter free. Keep the blinds or window treatments open during the day and you're already on your way to good Bedroom Feng Shui!
