Hi Derrick - This is a very important issue; with the existing economic condition fraud will become even more widespread. It is a terrific idea to provide the citizens with information to protect themselves, especially those who are most vulnerable.
One thing we all have in common as Americans is we are all consumers. Consumer issues are important to everyone.
Derrick - Great local info post! Consumer protection is an important task and it's great to see Orange County and the other counties taking a proactive approach on this.
Jennifer - In today's market climate, the county is taking steps to provide reassurance to consumers.
Rosario - This is very true. We do all that in common.
Joseph - Thanks. Unfortunately, the need for this protection is there and a proactive approach will hopefully help to keep negative occurrences to a minimum.
Derrick: I am all for anything that can be done to boost consumer confidence.
Donna - So am I. I believe a confident consumer will be a more positive consumer.
Hello Derrick,

Nevin - You are most certainly welcome. It's nice when we get some feed-back.
Where does the name "Orange County" come from -- surely not the fruit! Could it be Irish? Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Ann - No, it's not from the fruit. Its name is in honor of William III of Orange, who was greatly esteemed by the original settlers of the region. William III of Orange was also King of Ireland for a time. So there are many Irish roots! Hope you enjoyed your St. Patty's Day.
