
Hartsdale, New York is a Hamlet located mid-Westchester County and in the Town of Greenburgh.It is an Unincorporated area within the Town of Greenburgh which also consists of six Villages. Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Hastings-on-Hudson, Tarrytown and Irvington are all also part of the Town of Greenburgh.
Hartsdale has its' own shopping area with a New York Sports Club, numerous good restaurants, a Starbucks at the train station, and close proximity to Central Avenue with its' myriad mix of shops, strip malls, and large chain stores the is also referred to as Route 100 and runs from Yonkers to White Plains. Hartsdale is ten minutes away from the Village of Scarsdale with its' boutique shops, ten minutes to the City of White Plains and the Westchester Shopping Mall, Chessecake Factory and the new City Center with restaurants, shopping, multiplex and continual explansion, ten minutes to the Village of Ardsley with its' strip mall and new supermarket. Highways and Parkways are moments away for easy access.
Hartsdale uses the 10530 zip code and the majority of homes are in the Greenburgh Central School District. Hartsdale is served by the Metro-North Trains into Grand Central Station and is about a 30 minute commute. There are approximately 12,000 people in Hartsdale in an area of about 3 1/2 miles.
