The Little Minions Take Over My Desk at REMAX People Realty

Stephen Isaiah Starr and Noah Ezekiel Starr

I love being a Work-At-Home-Mom (WAHM) because I can be there for my children. Sometimes I also enjoy taking the boys with me into the office because they make life very interesting and can always be counted on to completely take over my cubicle and get busy being mini-Realtors. Stephen usually climbs on the desk because I have a glass shelf and he can see exactly want he wants to acquire the moment he arrives in the squad room at REMAX People Realty. He always goes for the lovely candy Don Rogers sent me. After a few pieces, he grabs a business card and goes for the phone. After all, that's what he observes his mom do while she is working on the computer. If my planner is available they will both flip it open and start scribbling notes (LOL). I had to purchase an extra calendar just for them. I love seeing them play with those happy, goofy and serious expressions on their faces. Noah can get this really cool look of concentration when he starts manipulating a computer. He has sight words and is becoming quite the little Googler. Disney, YouTube and Google are his favorite sites.

While the Minion Blur enjoyed his treats and Noah surfed the Internet I was getting ready to start a new project with Claudia Echeverri. We have some lovely new construction (two family homes) with off-street parking to photograph and turn into a video.

Stay tuned for new music from Mommy and The Little Minions to go with our listing's photo-montage.

This is a special/cool thing.  A birthday party for Tony's mom turning 70!  Funny how things work out, eh?

Carolyn ~ I like the way Stephen fits quite nicely in that corner of your desk (second pic)!  : )

Big Mike, every week is the "take you kid to work week" (LOL). I gues that's what happens when you work from home. :-)

( 09/25/08 08:13AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Oooo... you said birthday party. Turning 70, eh? Very cool! God bless her. I'm looking forward to seeing you in my backyard. I will be calling in a little while to get a few details so I can start clearing my schedule for some Mel time (LOL). We have got to get the NY gang together for your visit. Seriously!!!

( 09/25/08 08:19AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Kathy, that boy thinks that's where he is suppose to be, guarding the phone (LOL). No matter how many nice big comfy leather swivel chairs I stick him in he always climbs down, then up on my two drawer file cabinet, then onto my desk. I stopped arguing with him about it a long time ago. I figure it is way better for him to be happy in one spot than chasing him around the 2 FL floor. :-)

Very fun and Nice Listings Carolyn.  Good luck.

( 09/25/08 08:25AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Paddy. :-)

Too cute, as usual.  You are right -- having him happy in one spot is a wonderful thing.  Mine liked to travel and thought it was hilarious to run away from mommy and hide!  Good times!

( 09/25/08 11:07AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Elaine, mine must be related to yours because mine still think doing that is hilarious (LOL).

I love the shots of your boys. They are darling. You are my inspiration, C, with all these photos. Now that I have my new camera, I'm going to shoot a lot more pictures. Nice duplex, too. I take it one family lives upstairs and one down?

You mean you sell real estate too? Fun post, love following your Carolyn.

Hi C ... I bet they like to visit mom's office.  It really is wonderful that you can spend so much time with them.  TTYL

You sure have some good helpers there! Start their real estate training early. In a few years you will be able to have one minion list homes and the other minion work with buyers.

C-, this is a cool building. I see how it's layed out as a duplex or are there two more doors on the other side? With a little landscaping this could be beautiful. And, as always, the little minions make me fall in love. Thank you, C-

Elizabeth, take lots and lots of pictures. I love eye candy and can't wait to see what you see over in you neck of the woods! BTW, you are correct. One family lives upstairs and the other downstairs. The full finished basement is huge with high ceilings. There are side entrances as well. Very cool.

( 09/26/08 06:27AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Fred, too funny! Yes, I do squeeze tours of homes between all the other fun stuff on my schedule (LOL).

( 09/26/08 06:31AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Marie, they act as if we are joined at the hip at times (LOL). It really is cool to be able to take them out a lot. I'm hoping to bring them into "the family business" when they get older. Noah loves taking pictures and is getting really good at handling my Nikon. Stephen is fascinated with the video camera. I just wish he would stop sending it flying across the room when he's done playing with it. That kid throws everything (LOL).

( 09/26/08 06:38AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Lizette, my imagination has just run wild (LOL). Noah thinks he's Bob the Builder, Realtor Man of Action now. Imagine when he gets older. :-)

( 09/26/08 06:49AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Deb, they are lovely homes. The lower has front and side entrances, the upper just the front entrance. Thank you for the compliment on the little people. Wait until you see them in person... they can be a very interesting experience. :-)

I think your minions would get along with our smallest cat, whom I found perched on top of two different doors in our house this week.  How in the heck did she get up there?

( 09/26/08 07:12PM ) — C Tann-Starr

Jason, the climbing is addictive. Once they start, they never stops. They would love your cat! :-)

( 09/26/08 11:17PM ) — Jeremy Blanton ActiveRain Corp.

Dude, they look so official at your desk...can I hire them to sell my property?

( 09/27/08 07:27AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Jeremy, absolutely! They work for M&Ms and Cheesey Bread (LOL).

( 09/27/08 11:25AM ) — Cheryl Gilliam Home Staging-Hickory NC

Hi C, Your boys are just so adorable. I LOVE their names also. Keep up the training, they will be way ahead of the game because of their brilliant mom. God bless,

( 09/27/08 02:16PM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Cheryl G. I appreciate your kind words. Enjoy your day. Regards, C.

I love getting to bring the kiddos to the office and wish more agents would.  My grandson will go on some showings with me- he's a hoot.  Always takes credit for selling the property!!  be good  cw

( 09/27/08 06:01PM ) — C Tann-Starr

Cheryl W, that's very cool. Looking forward to meeting your grandson when we eventually do get to visit. ;-)

C, love the pictures.  Your little guys are precious!

( 10/02/08 07:30AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Lisa. I was so sorry I didn't bring the video camera with me yesterday. The boys were a hoot at this open house I was holding at Parkway Village. We visited a while as well so Noah actually climbed a tree and Stephen started hiding between the bushes and running wild in the lawn. The minion blur kept running out of the frame every time I tried to snap a photograph. I couldn't take a picture of Noah because Stephen was too busy making me chase after him. That kid is going to be a track star someday (LOL).

C, its so great that you are so into your kids.  You can tell how much you really love them and that is a wonderful gift.  It is great how involved you are in their lives.

This is my favorite post that I have seen so far on AR.  As a mother of boys I can see yours are quite like mine.  I used to let them do things like this also!  Thanks for putting this picture up.  I get teary eyed when I remember my boys at this age.

Too cute for words.

( 10/03/08 12:28AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Lisa. Everything we do, we do for them. The little people rule, and I think they are starting to catch on to that little fact (LOL).

( 10/03/08 12:30AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Jane. What a sweet compliment. :-)

( 10/03/08 12:31AM ) — C Tann-Starr

Thank you, Margaret. Kids have a way of sometimes leaving you speechless... :-)
