LaGrange voters will be asked to approve up to $2 million to preserve open space on November 4th. The town adopted an open space plan last year that includes acquiring conservation easements on farmland and other parcels in LaGrange to protect them against development. The town based its open space plan, in part, on surveys of LaGrange residents.
The LaGrange town board last week voted 4-1 to place the open space initiative on the ballot.
The Town of LaGrange open space plan is available for public review in the town hall at 120 Stringham Road and on the town Web site at:
