Union Square, one of the most recognizable public spaces in New York, joins Park Avenue South and Broadway to Fourth Avenue. Here, tourists, residents and office workers alike come together in a mishmash of culture and ethnicity, reflecting the cosmopolitan nature of the United States.
The Square harbors the Union Square Park, which has been the place for many important events. For example, the very first Earth Day was held in the Park. Today, it hosts the U. Sq. Green Market, where regional small farmers come together to sell their greens and fruits to health-conscious New Yorkers.

Every year end, U. Sq. Park also hosts its' extravagant Holiday Market, where hundreds and hundreds of vendors from different niches convene at Manhattan’s public square to ply their wares. Such a sight is not to be missed, and the bargains are usually out-of-the-world during this fair.
Centrally located in Manhattan, the neighborhood has proved to be a famous meeting place for locals. As such, a large number of businesses have also been set up around the area – you can find pubs, bars, restaurants and novelty stores all set up to cater to the needs and wants of groups of families and friends who are meeting up at U. Square.
