NEW WINDSOR - Air quality inspectors from the state Department of Environmental Conservation will visit the Deep Green soil-burning plant next week to check the progress of modifications to its emissions system.
Town officials received a rash of complaints about smoke and odor coming from the River Road plant in week in June and alerted the DEC. Supervisor George Green said there have been no recurrences. DEC spokeswoman Wendy Rosenbach said Deep Green submitted a report by last Friday's deadline.
