CONFIDENCE: Are you lacking it or do you EXUDE it?

Confidence: Are you lacking it or do you exude it?

Coming back from a New York City meeting not long ago with a prominent business person and his assistant that I have been working on a Feng Shui project with, the subject of Confidence came up.

They were thinking of adding to their staff and had liked the qualifications of a person that they had interviewed but said that she seemed to lack confidence. She hadn't made much eye contact during the interview, hadn't asked many questions and didn't seem to be enthusiastic; she appeared to lack confidence and it cost her the job.

I recalled my first meeting with these people before I came on board with the project. There was actually a room full of people and I had to explain what my part would entail for the project. Since no one had much knowledge about Feng Shui, I explained each principle behind it as I made initial suggestions. I realized I must have appeared confident, thought I don't recall feeling that way.....

I believe if I were speaking of any other subject I may have acted much more like the person they had recently interviewed. I do not always appear confident, depending on the setting or the situation. I wondered if that's true for everyone?

So why am I posting pictures of DUCKS? I love ducks, geese and any type of bird you can think of. Perhaps I used to be one but if you went through the photos on my computer, you'd find at least a third of them are ducks, geese, swans...whatever happens to fly or waddle by.

Or perhaps to me it appears that Ducks EXUDE confidence. They don't run from me or even walk away, they'll often head in my direction (even when I have no bread). They are effortless, in and out of the water and seem happy wherever they are---happy AND confident.

Are YOU confident? Does it depend on the situation? I'd love to be confident in every situation but I can't help but wonder if everyone is.....
