Home buyers have some shopping to do on April 10^th and 11^th during the OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND across Long Island, NY

The Long Island Board of REALTORS® announces that over 270 offices across Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens, have registered to participate in the first OPEN HOUSE weekend scheduled for next weekend. "The response to this initiative has been amazing, and our members have embraced this opportunity to participate in a Long Island and Queens Event. This is a wonderful way to kick off the home buying season," said Kathy Engel, 2010 LIBOR President. "These opportunities won't be around forever. If buyers wait too long, interest rates could climb and make the home of their dreams less affordable."

The Open House Weekend, April 10-11 will provide potential home buyers with an opportunity to view homes throughout their targeted communities and obtain information and answers to questions about specific homes, market conditions and the home buying process.

Home Buyers can drop by EXIT REALTY ACHIEVE at 956 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown to pick up more information about the homes being held open or to attend a Home Buyer's Event scheduled for 10AM on Saturday the 10^th. The Home Buyer's Event will provide additional information that may be of great value to a home buyer. Local professionals will be on hand to offer advice on financing, tax incentives, the home inspection process and more. There is no cost for this seminar. The intent of the seminar is to provide good timely information and not to sell anything.
