Take Me To The River Music and Art Festival

Why go: As a friend of mine and I described it recently, it is like "Woodstock in our own backyard." Come with your picnic blanket, chairs and a cooler and be ready for a day to remember. Great music, activities including yoga and arts for kids and lots of fun.
Pricing: In advance, $15 and $20 at the door. $5 for kids 10-17 and 9 and under are free. Purchase here.
Where/When: Jacob Burns Film Center, 405 Manville Rd., Pleasantville on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 at 12 p.m. Film runs 127 minutes.
Why go: You saw it when it came out in 1993, now take your kids with you and watch the dinosaurs come to life on the big screen.

Day of Chesed (Kindness), Service and Remembrance

Why go: It is hard to believe it has been ten years since 9/11. This event brings together the community for service projects to help commemorate this tragic day in our nation's history. Projects for young children, too.
