Young Comedians Help Ronald McDonald House

On April 13, 2008, at 3:00 p.m., Theatre Three in Port Jefferson will be hosting the first annual Kids ‘N Comedy Showcase. Young comedians, ages 13 to 17, will be performing their stand-up routines to help benefit Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. These young comedians regularly perform in New York City, for Kids ‘N Comedy, and attend workshops, classes and summer camp for children interested in learning stand-up.

Half the proceeds from the show will be going to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, which is located in New Hyde Park, right by Schneider Children's Hospital. Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families who have sick children in an area hospital. Ronald McDonald House of Long Island has served more than 8,000 families since opening in 1986, some from Nassau and Suffolk County, the Metropolitan area, all 50 states and 62 foreign countries.
