...to see one of my listings. I happens to be a spec house in a 47 lot subdivision. When an appointment is logged in by our office, the listing agent receives an email notification. So when I received the email, 3 days ago, I noticed that the agent wasn't from this area. So I tried calling him. I offered to meet him there w/his client so I could take them through the sales center and show them our site plan and what we offer in our packages. For 3 days I've been leaving vm's on his cell phone. Even sent him an email asking him to register his clients. Doesn't have the time to return a phone call or hit reply? So today I called his office. And this is classic....are you ready...the admin never heard of him! She had to check Showing Desk to see if he was even associated with their office; and to her surprise he was! So we figured it out that he was a part time agent.....and he thinks he's gonna walk into a new development and sell a million dollar home without contacting the listing agent???
One of the points that I stress when working with a new buyer or taking a new listing is that I'm a full time agent. I make appointments, keep appointments and network with other agents; especially if they're outside of my local area. I can always be reached on my cell phone or email. Wouldn't you want to be as educated about a property or a project before you tried to sell it? In this market we need all of the help we can get; so why wouldn't you enlist the help of other agents; especially if they offer it to you. And if they don't offer it, Ask! We're here to help our clients make informed decisions, how can you do that when you don't know what you're talking about!
PS--Guess I can stand on my head waiting for the feedback sheet to be filled out !
