Experienced Professional

When do you feel you are experienced? Why do RE Professionals who had worked for at least 10 years "slap" in the face of young, aka, newer ones, their "I've been doing this for 25 years!" line?

Definitely not all. I met one and only one who, I know has been out there for more than 25 years and still graciously and INTELLIGENTLY handles her transactions with our colleagues. I made her know that, too. Other RE Prof feels same about her. Respectful, never condescending, always listening to your input - as a representative of the other side. I made myself aware of her Listings, I make sure to know if she gets a new one and I make sure I show her listings when I have a Buyer. I always look forward for her call for a feedback, I make an effort to look very meticulously so I can help her evaluate for her client. No, I don't work with her in the same office (I wish!)- I met her thru several showings of her properties. I wish this is how we ALL work together. Imagine if we all look forward to working with one another - not just one, but ALL - we will all be rich and live happily-ever-after! And not "The END".

We are co-workers in essence, so we should watch each other. Remember, we will all get old and we need efficient and consciencious Professionals to leave our Legacy to. Yes, Real Estate is our Legacy. You know when people will mention your name, they will verify your identity as "Oh yeah, the Broker" - "hoo the one selling houses?" -- "the Realtor®?!" Who will teach the unexperienced? Do you really believe you are "experienced" in RE? Ask yourself why. Don't count your years, look back on the quality of your transactions. I am not claiming any position, in 5 years working in RE, I'm a nube and disappointed, you could say.
